FAQ:

• When I try to have a casual conversation with LEO, I get strange answers back. Why is this?
  • LEO is meant to be used as a tool, not for conversation. It doesn’t mean that LEO is broken or malfunctioning. Its simply trying to process your conversation as a request.
• When I ask a question and LEO gives me a broad answer, why does LEO ask me for more information regarding the circumstances question I’m asking?
  • When this happens, LEO is trying to give you the most accurate answer it can based off a broad scale of information. For example, when asking about a criminal charge, LEO may be asking for more information to refine its answers with data such as crime enhancements. When asking questions, you should be as literal as possible while providing key details to obtain an accurate answer.
• I keep asking questions about another state’s laws but I’m not getting the information I’m looking for.
  • Simply navigate to your account settings and change your selected state to the state you are trying use information from. 
• I asked for information about something, but LEO produced a very long answer and cut off the information without being finished.
  • LEO is only authorized to provide answers up to 375 words long. If you want to finish the response, follow up with LEO’s response asking it to finish its previous response.
• Is LEO up to date on current events?
  • No, LEO’s information is limited to September of 2021. However, LEO can still discuss law enforcement matters and may be updated soon.
• I’m asking a law enforcement question but for some reason LEO won’t process it.
  • Sometimes this happens and LEO won’t recognize your question as a law enforcement-based question. You may have to rephrase your question by including key phrases designating the question such as “As a police officer,” or “At a crime scene,”.
